cannot import files from Outlook 2003  from an external hard drive to Windows7
this action requires that I supply an administrator password yet I am the administrator. I have no idea what they are looking for. All I want to do is to download the address books in outlook that reside in my external hard drive.

Hi Seasport, I would like to confirm the following questions: 1. How did you export the address books to the external hard drive? 2. Did you set a password when you exported them? I would like to share you two link regarding exporting and exporting address books below. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/829919 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/286116 If the issue persists, would you please capture a screenshot of the symptom and paste it here? For more information about how to post a picture, please refer to the following link: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itproui/thread/4fc10639-02db-4665-993a-08d865088d65 Screenshot of the symptom ======================== 1. Press the Print Screen key (PrtScn) on your keyboard. 2. Click the "Start" menu, type "mspaint" in the Search Bar and Press Enter. 3. In the Paint program, click the "Edit" menu, click "Paste", click the "File" menu, and click "Save". 4. The "Save As" dialogue box will appear. Type a file name in the "File name:" box, for example: "screenshot". 5. Make sure "JPEG (*.JPG;*.JPEG;*.JPE;*.JFIF)" is selected in the "Save as type" box, click “Desktop” on the left pane and then click "Save".Arthur Li - MSFT
